I think the Zmachine lighting kits are the ones to get. They are sold through Slot Car Corner and Clover Leaf Racing as well as other dealers. The kit uses a bright Xenon bulb that is very small, so it is easy to mount in the Group C body. The kit will have all of the components soldered together, so you will just need to hook up to the power leads on the car. The kits will have a capacitor so the lights will stay on after a deslot. They make kits with headlights and taillights as well as adding in brake lights, or you can have an exhaust "light". Or other lighting options are available.

Spoke with SCC today and found out about the situation with Z machine, maker of the 'preferred' lighting kits. Apparently the original owner sold the business to another party a couple of years ago and they (new owner) have not been cooperative for the last 18 months in resupplying the US market.
Perhaps the EU markets fare better (Pendle Slot etc.), however I contacted another site that added a few kits to their site while I was on the phone with him. It was reflected on the site this afternoon, however not this evening. Perhaps he's updating the entire count and cannot be accessed just yet.
I do know that the particular Z machine kits featuring the 'exhaust lighting' (flickering flame effect) were not currently available either.
I'll update any info as I receive or find it, but in the event of lack of kits available by them, the only other good option might be the larger-bulb Slot it kit(s).
That, or eliminate the "night" portion altogether.

With the track being tested yesterday and assuming that we would be racing in the afternoon, my track area has windows that get lot of afternoon sunlight. We talked about darkening shades, but I'm not sure that it really would be worth the effort for just one day. Maybe just run two daytime segments.

Looked at Pendle Slot and Slot Union and did not see any Zmachine kits available. Hey Harry, If you do not have a light kit for your car, I can sell you a light kit I pulled from a Digital Carrera car, it has exhaust lamps, but no headlamps or taillights. Jim W

John and I are trying to order the Zmachine light kits for people. The Zmachine 4 Xenon headlight kits seem to be out of stock everywhere. I have found Zmachine 2 Xenon headlight kits and Zmachine 4 yellow headlight kits which I can order if they would work. Let me know as Enduro time is rapidly approaching. The other option is Slot It light kits.
