The first version of this raceway is up for testing this Saturday. Current track is a Scalextric Sport Track, 4 lanes set up on a 22.5 x 5 table with a run line of +/- 53 feet. Track is set up with 25amp power supply, Trackmate controller stations that will currently take banana plugs or alligator clips but will in the future have XLR Plugs as well. Timing is by Trackmate and will have a large monitor for race days. The second version of the track to be done some time in 2023, will be a three lane routed wood track with the same table and similar track layout after we have run some races on the track., Address is 824 Warren Landing, Fort Collins, CO 80525 Mark Wernimont (970)402-2623 for any questions. I believe our first practice day was a success. Had Harry, Marc G and Jim come up and spend 4 hours on the track. A few issues that I need to correct prior to the Enduro, but everything worked as it should. Marc G has now broken the 4.0 second lap time, but in the mock race, time were close but wrecks really show up in the laps.
Looking forward to the Enduro race on September 17th, and maybe getting into the rotation for Saturdays in 2023.

010823 Oval Track.pdf (1.58 MB) Warren Lake Oval is now up and running but still need replacement parts from Trackmate. Appears the receiver cable has two bad sensors. Track is very quick, and we will need to work on rules and classes that we want to race. I would look at have a test day similar to what we did for the 4-lane track prior to race and can work out the details at that point. Track is Carrera set up analogue with two 5-amp power supply units that we can control the voltage separate for the two upper lanes and two lower lanes. Coners are banked R-2 and R-3 with outer borders. Straight does drop down 2" at the outside edge for the center. This track has the ability to taken apart in sections and moved to a locating for special evenets. No wiring is on the bottom of the board, so it can be set flat on tables. All wiring is on the center section, and the surface brakes down to 3ea 4' x 5'6" boards. Track is fully supported by foam angle blocks that are anchored to the table. Controller boxes are set up for Trackmate panels but are done with banana plugs just the same. Mark W
