Some RMSCC members may remember Tony Wilson, who has raced with us in the past. Unfortunately, Tony hasn't been able to do anything over the past few years as he's battled non-COVID lung issues. His father shared some devastating news with us yesterday, when he said that despite breathing treatment, Tony was not responding. Tony and his family did not want any heroic measures taken, and the decision to take him off a ventilator has been made, John Parker and I visited Tony in the hospital yesterday and while he was not conscious, Tony was receiving good medical care.
Tony Wilson was on my pit crew in the 90's when we raced in GT5 to qualify for the SCCA Runoffs at places like Road Atlanta and Mid-Ohio. Tony crewed and later raced the same H Production Datsun 1200 that John and Ian Sullivan have campaigned. He and John towed Jerry's HP Sprite to the Indianapolis Speedway when the Runoffs were held there in 2017. SCCA racing and sportscar racing (including slotcars) has always been a big part of Tony's life, sp please keep him in your thoughts and prayers this week.

Just to wrap this up for everyone's knowledge.
With all of Tony's family in town, and a final discussion with the doctors yesterday. The family decided to let fate take its course and removed him from life support last night. After a short time Tony past away.

Sorry to hear of Tony's passing.
I remember him racing at my house one time, and I made a comment to him, that I was faster through the corners if I had him marshaling my car than I could drive.
