From what I've heard it's BIG, too low and very fast. Strange subject though--'67 Shelbys don't have any race history that I know of--it would have made more sense to do a 1965 GT 350R. Tom

This car will be a good addition to my other cars of the "Golden years". I also have street Cudas, Challengers, Camaros and other Mustangs. Also throw in a few Corvettes as well. All of these cars can be Show and Go. Some may be stock, others came with the company's high-performance motor. I can also fit a new 3D chassis under all of these cars when I want to increase their performance to my liking, since there are no rules in my street class. With my Pioneer Camaros and Mustangs, both cars use the same chassis, so I can change between the "Rivals" and let the better car win. Back in the day, Chevrolet would put a better performance engine in their cars, while Ford/Shelby kept the cars with their standard engines installed. I had to go outside of factory to put a Boss 302 and a 427-medium riser in my Ford cars back then. Both are gone now, sold to friends in the 70's. My last sale was my Chevrolet 1970 LS-6 motor, I bought new, I sold earlier this year. Again, sold to a friend that has traded cars and parts with me over the years. Take a look at the write up from an old Car and Driver on the 1967 Shelby GT 500. Have a High School friend that owns one of these cars. He is still Blue Oval all the way, since high school when this car was new. He wanted one then and 10 years ago he was able to find a car to his liking. www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a15142285/1967-ford-mustang-shelby-gt500-road-test/Jim W

The chassis under this Thunderslot Mustang is a new design for this car. I waiting to see the actual slotcar when it is produced. "Ellenor" from the second movie of "Gone in 60 Seconds" will be a new movie slotcar for a class if we ever ran them. It may be just like our Rally class, where everyone soon has to have the "ideal" car. So, I don't think this Thunderslot car, would work for a class that has movie cars, since most of them are made by Scalextric or Pioneer now.

Well, the day has come. I received my "Ellenor" car from Thunderslot. I had it on pre-order for a while. It is slower than my Thunderslot McLaren Elva, so don't be worried that a street car will win all of the races. It is equal to my Pioneer Mustang that is setup for club racing. It is a good running car, since I like to put on silicone tires on all of my cars when I get them. The wheels may be the same ones as my McLaren Elva has, so I tried the same tires on both of the cars. If you look at Professor Motors website, they had listed about 950 cars for each of the 4 colors before they arrived. Now they list that three of the colors are sold out and the fourth color is still shown as pre-order.
I will say that the Thunderslot Mustang GT 350 is closer to scale than the Thunderslot McLaren M6. The wheelbase is the same as my Carrera 67 Mustang GT. Of course, the car is wider than the Carrera car, just like their other cars are, as well as the other "performance" slotcars are also.
