I agree with both David's. I have participated, organize and run many events with all sized cars and all had Tech to start and some all finishers and some top three or even random.
I believe RMSCC have a few issues.
First is timely rules that explain the class in more detail than we get currently with time to acquire, build and set up a car.
Second is time for those who do not have a track or want help setting up a car the time on a race Saturday (realize Wednesday night is harder with time) race day to practice. With that we need to go to 2 min timed per lane, move down every two. Then adjust the car, get back in line and try again. Putting more than 10/15 laps on a car is not going to make it faster. My opinion.... Breaking in motors, running in gears should be done prior to the track.
Lastly we need to tech all cars every race, so it becomes part of the process. I believe most of this is already in the guide lines.
Most of you who have run at my track, other than timed practice, know this is how my events have been run. I am not changing. But timed practice will be the norm moving forward.
Thanks Mark W

I get it guys, but my Sebring car will not pass tech and I am not going to change it, so I will not run Sebring. At least not with my car.

Wow I have learned that the more I raise my car in order to pass tech the faster it goes. 😅 Chris

I had a car like that, when I raised it, it kept getting faster. It had little tire clearance and when it cornered, it must have had tire rub that I didn't see when checking the car. The body must have moved move that I expected with my "smooth" throttle movements. Raising the body helped the car run faster every time I made a change.

If you look at Chris's NSR Formula 86/89 F1 car, it has the highest ground clearance of all of the cars that I have looked at in both the RMSCC and the Vintage Club. He has won more races with that car than the rest of us.
